Coldplay have partnered with the media event company Abramorama to plan what they describe as a “global theatrical premiere event” for their upcoming album, Moon Music. On October 2nd, the band will present Moon Music at a series of “communal listening experience” events hosted in over 700 theaters in more than 40 countries around the globe. The Moon Music theatrical experience will take place ahead of the album’s street release date on October 4th. In additional Coldplay news, frontman Chris Martin revealed in a new interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that his band will eventually call it quits after their 12th album (Moon Music is the band’s 10th studio record). “We are only going to do 12 proper albums and that’s real. Yeah, I promise,” Martin said. “Because less is more, and for some of our critics even less would be even more! It’s really important that we have that limit. Where we could be coasting, we’re trying to improve.” (Deadline)
