Meet Stitch (248338)! Don’t those soulful eyes just touch at your heart? This little fella needs a nice, quiet home where he can decompress for a few days so his true personality can shine. He is VERY treat motivated and takes them gently and patiently. Volunteers also noted he perked up a bit when playing with a tennis ball – it was so heartwarming to see him play! Stitch has heartworms but it’s treatable and not contagious. To help with the medical cost, a $400 sponsorship for treatment is provided by Friends of Wake County Animal Center. Email [email protected] for more information.

He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
