Ring the alarm… Black Friday deals are officially here!
This year Black Friday falls on November 27, but due to retailers struggling with relief from COVID-19 and Prime day in October, retailers are launching Black Friday deals earlier than ever.
- Amazon
- Riding the high of their successful Amazon Prime Event, Amazon is hosting a “Holiday Dash” sale right now with epic daily deals on some big brands like Sony, Samsung, KitchenAid, Apple and iRobot. This sale spans lots of departments, like Amazon devices, computers and gaming, toys and games, fashion, home and more. You can sign up to “watch” deals to get alerted when new deals are live!
- Plus, Prime members get early access 30 minutes before everyone else.
- Bath & Body Works
- Bath & Body Works is having a weeklong Black Friday event this year that spans from November 23 to November 27. Until November 25, their deals will be available in-store only, online-only on November 26 and both on Black Friday. Make sure to check back often to see what specific items will be on sale!
- Bed Bath & Beyond
- Bed Bath & Beyond is running a few different deals leading up to Black Friday and going through the end of December. Such a long time! Starting October 16 through December 23, you can find a new “Gift of the Week” promo that will each run for three days a week. Starting November 2 through Christmas Eve, there will be a special flash deal every day. Additionally, Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals will be spread across multiple days.
- Best Buy
- This retailer is having early Black Friday sales right now, including deals on Smart TVs, laptops, headphones, vacuums and more. Check out our 2019 coverage of their 12 Days of Deals sale!
- Some things to note: Best Buy will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Also, they are making order pick ups easier throughout the holiday season, including contactless curbside pickup, same-day and next-day deliveries, pick ups at UPS and CVS locations and Buy Online, Pickup In Store options.
- BJ’s
- Bj’s Wholesale Club will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will have early Black Friday sales starting on November 5 with “Early Bird Savings” through November 30. Then they have their “Black Friday Savings” sale from November 20 through November 30. Lastly, the sales end with a “5-Days of Days” from November 26 through November 30.
- The Home Depot
- The Home Depot will run its Black Friday deals starting November 6 through December 2, both online and in stores. More details to come, but you can get a sneak peek of the sales in The Home Depot app right now.
- JCPenney
- The retailer kicked off the holiday season with their Cyber Days event from October 12 through October 14. Since then, their weekend sales events have been continuing and will last throughout November with an early Black Friday preview and limited-time deals at Black Friday prices. Then, in December they will have more deals focusing on holiday gifting.
- Kohl’s
- Kohl’s announced that deals will be available “earlier this year,” but has not specified when yet. But they have said that all Kohl’s stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
- Lowe’s
- The home-improvement retailer announced on October 20 that rather than wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday, it’s starting a huge holiday event, coined the “Season of Savings” sale, on Thursday, October 22. It promises to be chock-full of more online specials this year than in previous years to urge customers to shop from home.
- Here’s some highlights from the sale:
- October 28 to December 30: Buy one select DeWalt 20V Max XR Power Detect Tool and get one select Bare Tool free. Also, buy one select Craftsman V20 Max Battery Kit or Combo Kit and get one select Bare Tool free.
- November 19 to December 2:- Save up to $700 on major appliances totaling $1,999+.
- Here’s some highlights from the sale:

- Macy’s
- Macy’s Black Friday specials will run from November 24 to November 28 in stores, online and on the Macy’s app. All stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but consumers will have the chance to shop online-only deals that day.
- Macy’s announced that they will give shoppers a preview of the upcoming Black Friday deals on October 27, so check back here for that sneak peek! The retailer also confirmed these Black Friday deals will come in the early part of November and last multiple days.
- Nordstrom & Nordstrom Rack
- During the week of Thanksgiving, Nordstrom will have 12 days of Big Cyber savings with up to 50% off more than thousands items in stores and online for women, men, kids and home. New deals will be added on November 20, November 23, November 25 and November 27.
- Also, sister retailer Nordstrom Rack is introducing “Rack Friday” for the Black Friday weekend. For this event, they are launching “Daily Deals” online with a new deal arriving each day. They will also have a “Rack Friday Clearance Event” along with “Rack Friday Limited Time Flash Events.”
- Sam’s Club
- Sam’s Club announced all its holiday-season sale dates for 2020, including a longer 10-day Thanks-Savings Sale for Black Friday. They also said that instead of one-day sales, this year’s sales–including one in November and another in December–will each last nine days. The longer sales give shoppers more time and help with crowd control, complying with COVID-19 safety precautions.
- Target
- Target will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but it will offer its Black Friday pricing for the entire month of November, with new digital deals dropping every day. Other holiday deals will roll out from October to December.
- Target already had their “Deal Days” sale in October as a competing Amazon Prime Day Sale. They had deals on thousands of products across departments like electronics, beauty, household essentials, kitchen appliances, toys and fashion.
- They are also extending their holiday price-match policy through December 24 and have curbside order pickup available.
- Walmart
- This year, Walmart is changing the game and stretching Black Friday deals online and in stores across three weekends in November in order to lessen crowds. The announced they will have different deals on each weekend up until November 27 starting on November 4 at 7 p.m. EST.
- Walmart has already teased a variety of products that will be available during Black Friday Deals for Days. You can expect deals on like TVs, computers, tablets, toys, home products, tires and seasonal decor.
- Wayfair
- This online furniture and decor brand just gave us a sneak peek of their Black Friday sale. they are advertising a ton of deals, such as up to 60% off Living Room Seating, Bedroom Furniture from $99, up to 50% off Outdoor Furniture, Area Rugs from $49, up to 55% off Dining Furniture and so much more! Plus, they’re spotlighting special sales during the event! The first is 40% off the Le Creuset 3.5 Qt. Dutch Oven.
