- Apex is celebrating Independence Day with a flag raising at 10 a.m. on 7/4, followed by a decorated car processional through Downtown Apex. If you want to participate in the processional, you need to register. They’ll also be showing it on their Facebook page.

- For those looking for a relaxing evening, The Honeysuckle Tea House is an open air structure that’s like a tree house in the sky. Built on shipping containers and other repurposed materials, it overlooks Honeysuckle’s farm fields, herb gardens, playgrounds, hammocks, mandala garden and more. On the evening of 4th of July, enjoy live music by Popcorn Blue Band on the lawn. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs. Social distancing will be in place.

- Beginning at 10 a.m. on 7/4, a small train of town vehicles will drive throughout the Town of Carrboro. Step outside to look for vehicles from Police, Fire, Public Works, Planning, and Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources.

- Starting on 7/4 at 9 a.m., the fireworks will be shot off from J. Lee Road and will be viewable from mainly locations in Benson. There will be no gathering.

- Hubb’s Farm is showing drive-in films on Saturdays. On July 4th the movie is Cars.

- The Town of Holly Springs is celebrating with an online concert by Mo’Jazz on July 3rd, a food art contest at the Holly Springs Farmers Market on July 4th, and fireworks on July 5th. You won’t be allowed into Sugg Farm or Bass Lake Park to watch the fireworks in person, but they will be streamed on the Town’s website and YouTube channel.
