Downtown Raleigh showcases its art, music and food at their monthly gallery walk. Dozens of venues will be hosting art receptions. You’ll also find lots of deals on food and drinks. Visit the First Friday Raleigh website for a map of participating venues.

Friday is National Donut Day and lots of donut shops are giving away free donuts. Some require a beverage purchase, some are buy one get one free, and some are just plain free. Visit Triangle on the Cheap for a list of all the participating donut shops in the Triangle. There are at least eight.

Cary Downtown Park and Academy Street
This is a day to celebrate pimento cheese. Restaurants will be giving away free samples. Food trucks will be selling their special pimento cheese menu items, as well as regular menu items. There will be live music and a cheese sculpting competition.
Raleigh’s International Food Festival

This festival features incredibly diverse food choices, from more than 20 countries, as well as music and dance performances from around the world. Come hungry.

This is the first of Durham’s Rock the Park Concert and Movie Series. They’re starting off with Dwayne Jordan Quartet, a R&B band. Food vendors will be on site.
