Hi! I’m Rogers. My rescue was flooded due to Hurricane Florence so Triangle Beagle Rescue took me and my beagle buddy Miguel to safety.
Now that I am safe, I am working on being healthy again. I was treated for heartworms and one of my legs had an injury that could not repaired so I had to have it amputated. But that hasn’t slowed me down one bit. I am still a mobile happy-go-lucky beagle boy! My foster mom says that I am sweet and am quite a snuggler.
Sleeping is my favorite activity and I am quiet. I get along with the other four doggies in my foster home and I have not met a stranger yet. I have started to wag my white tipped tail when I see my foster mommy. I also enjoy following her around.
I don’t really know what toys are just yet, but I like to watch my foster friends play with them. I LOVE going for walks and being outside. I can actually run pretty fast using my three strong legs.
I am learning lots of new things like crate and house training and am making great progress! My foster mommy says I’m an A+ student. I don’t know what that means but she is happy.
I haven’t had the opportunity to be around children or cats in my foster home. I wear a harness for fashion and safety – my beagle nose temptations are very strong. So far I’m not afraid of anything and have adjusted well. I am named in honor of fallen soldier CPL Jeffrey Rogers.
