Dorothea Dix Park Flowers Field, 2105 Umstead Drive, Raleigh
This is the first of the three weekends for Light the Woods with Sound, and interactive light-and-sound art installation by local visual and neon artist Nate Sheafer. He’s created 384 neon light tubes that will hang in the oak trees, connected to a theramin, which is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact. Each night of the installation will include different performers and musical themes. Food trucks will be on site.
